Products

LSG 150
The USA-made LSG 150 is ideal for small leaks with diameters ranging from 2” to 5”. and made of aluminum and stainless steel.
Comes with balloon, grounding wire, CO₂ canister, and storage system.

LSG 400
The USA-made LSG 400 is designed for leaks with diameters ranging from 5” to 14”. and made from the same materials as the LSG 150.
Comes with balloon, grounding wire, CO₂ canister, and storage system.
The LSG Stops Leaks of All Sizes
Because all leaks are not created equal, the Leak Stop Gun is available in two models. The LSG 400 is made for stopping leaks from large-diameter tanks and pipes, and the LSG 150 is designed to handle smaller leaks. The two models are made from the same materials, and their differences are highlighted in this table. You’ll also find useful information in the FAQs.

FAQ
How does the LSG work?
Operating the LSG is a straightforward, 3-step process that you can see in action here
Why are the Leak Stop Guns so large?
The size of the balloons determines the LSG size. The larger balloon requires larger internal pistons to operate. The weight of the LSGs also helps the operator keep the device stable in the face of a gushing leak.
How do you reload the Leak Stop Guns?
How long does a filled balloon last?
While environmental factors mean we cannot guarantee a specific answer, numerous tests have shown the LSG balloons to last between 24-48 hours before needing a top-up of CO₂.
Will a LSG balloon withstand sharp edges?
The balloon is made with double-layered material. The inner bladder holds the CO₂ while the outer layer is designed to be rip and tear resistant.
How many shots will the CO₂ bottle last?
8-10 inflations with the LSG 150 or 1-2 with the LSG 400
Why use CO₂?
CO₂ is a stable gas that, in the case of a fire risk, is inflammable.
What comes standard in an LSG kit?
Each LSG kit includes the LSG 150/400, a hard shell case, two balloons, and two CO₂ cylinders.
Can the two LSGs work together?
As most leaks in the real world will not be perfectly circular, the LSG 150 and LSG 400 can complement each other well to help plug uneven-shaped leaks.
Can I use one gun for both size ballons?
No. The different balloons require different piston sizes to operate.
What are some common applications for the LSG 400?
The LSG 400 is ideal for use by fire departments, on ships, at petrochemical plants and oil refineries and storage tank facilities, tank truck operators, and in agricultural and biogas environments.
What are some common applications for the LSG 150?
The LSG 150 is designed for use with relatively small-diameter pipe leaks such as those caused by excavators used on construction and maintenance projects.
Why use the LSG 400 instead of the LSG 150?
The LSG 400 is used to seal leaks with diameters ranging from 5 in. to 14 in. (120mm-350mm). In contrast, the LSG 150 is used to seal leaks with diameters ranging from 2 in. to 5 in. (50mm-120mm).
Where is the LeakStopGun manufactured?
The LSG is 100% U.S. manufactured. The Leak Stop Gun manufacturing facility is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Our Commitment
Our deep concern about the safety and well-being of people, as well as our belief that everyone must do his or her part to protect our planet’s scarce natural resources by engaging in sustainable practices, starts with the development of the LSG. This tool is the result of our collective knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and workplace health and safety to help commercial and government organizations operate safely.
The LSG reflects the latest in metallurgy, manufacturing, materials science, and design technologies. As technologies in those realms and others advance, we continue to refine the LSG in our pursuit of helping the world become a safer place.
